Case Study 4: Cavalier Studios
New Website Saves Us Thousands Every Year.
Cavalier Studios are laughing all the way to the bank after their new website helped them cut costs and attract new clientele.
The successful film makers reckon that eBusiness UK deserve an “Oscar” for creating a site that has slashed their advertising budget and brought them a wealth of new business, including a coveted contract from the BBC.
Transformation
Debbie Cooper, who founded Stockport based Cavalier Studios in 1980 with her husband Lol, said: “We wanted to update our website because it was old and it didn’t look good.
“We chose eBusiness UK because of their track record and because they were fellow members of the Chamber of Commerce, so we knew they must be reputable.
“They did a brilliant job. They redesigned the website and included video clips to showcase the work we do.”
New Business
She added: “The website marketing they did, making sure we appeared high up on search engines like Google together with the Pay per Click adverts on the internet, has really helped.
“Now that people can find us easily on the internet, we have cut the size of our adverts in the telephone directories.
“The new site has also generated a lot of new business for us, including a contract from the BBC for some duplication work, which is fantastic.”
Well Marketed
The company, which operates nationwide and can be found at www.cavalierstudios.co.uk, was founded in 1980 and is renowned for video production, TV sports coverage and its CD and DVD duplication facility.
It has nine camera crews and creates corporate and promotional videos. It also films non premiership football matches for major broadcasters including the BBC, Sky and Granada.
Kam Kothia is managing director of eBusiness UK, which specialises in web design and development, e-commerce solutions, search engine marketing and website content management systems.
He said: “Cavalier’s experience shows how important it is to have a good, well marketed site. It can make all the difference.
“Cavalier is a very professional company but its old website didn’t reflect that quality and it didn’t attract many visitors.
“We completely redesigned it and marketed it using search engine optimisation and Pay per Click advertising, which is a very quick and effective method of achieving good listings in the search engines and you only pay a fee when someone clicks through to your website."
Paid for Itself
Debbie Cooper added: “The new website is exactly what we wanted and it has more than paid for itself.
“We are thrilled with it and eBusiness UK were so friendly and helpful. We built our company up by being like that and it was great to deal with another family firm with the same outlook.”
