Case Study 2: Ralspeed
Ralspeed has been manufacturing motor control systems
since the early 1980s. Based in Blackburn, Lancashire,
the company is a leader in ‘soft starters’
for the ac industrial motor industry. They have customers
all over the UK and as far away as Malaysia.
The company has been working with eBusiness UK for
many years following a recommendation from Lancashire
Business Link.
Deborah Rooney, a director of Ralspeed says, “We’ve

We believe in using local suppliers, and have found

We asked eBusiness to optimise our site for the major
search engines a little under a year ago. We had no
profile at all on the main search engine listings,
and in under a year, we have a ‘top 10’
presence on all the major search engines. As a result,
we’ve seen a growth in site visitors grow from
approximately 9,000 per month to 40,000 per month.”
As well as optimising Ralspeed’s site for search
engines, Ralspeed has been using eBusiness’s
eProspector product which allows them to send a monthly
newsletter to over 700 contacts and customers.
